Lives and works in Eeklo, Belgium.

Through periods of meditative stillness, sometimes for days on end, Elfie connects to raw emotions whirling within herself, her inner garden, to translate them into images to be projected onto canvas, collage, photo and video.

An abundant imaginary inner life is an infinite source for her creative work to which people are drawn naturally, tempted to reflect the self with the projected emotions in her work, often in a purifying way. 

Her works seem mysterious and explore frontiers within the mind. She frequently goes beyond those borders aiming to connect with the audience, this also  includes performances.

A selection of her notebook sketches have been bundled into a "Kunst Cahiers" (Art Notebook) which is also available online.
